Trish Ahjel Roberts

Founder of HoneyButterflyz LLC and Black Vegan Life

Writer - Self-Actualization Coach - Yogi

I want to see a self-actualized world, beginning with Black women."

- Trish Ahjel Roberts

Trish Ahjel Roberts (formerly Trish Ahjel) has pulled all her fragmented pieces together to become one person standing in her truth with her whole name. She wants to inspire other women to identify and pursue their passions and love themselves authentically and wholeheartedly. Her 2015 novel, Chocolate Soufflé, took readers on a #sexyfunnysmart journey of love and exploration in 1990s New York City. Her 2020 release, Thinking Outside the Chrysalis: A Black Woman's Guide to Spreading Her Wings, is the self-help memoir of our time. Rich with lived experiences and ancient wisdom, Trish shares generously and humbly. She uses her delight in the butterfly's story of transformation to communicate vividly with her readers.

Trish Ahjel Roberts is a blogger, self-actualization coach, yoga and meditation instructor, reiki practitioner, retreat organizer and founder of HoneyButterflyz LLC and Black Vegan Life. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and attended Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the Metropolitan College of New York and an MBA from Long Island University. She has ten years of Buddhist study at Kadampa Meditation Center in Atlanta, GA and twenty years of yoga experience. She lives with her daughter and their dog in Atlanta, GA. She is available as a life coach, motivational speaker and plant-based retreat organizer. She believes movement and nature are therapy and loves hiking, running and hot yoga. She is currently working on 12 Steps to Mind-Blowing Happiness:  A Journal of Insights, Quotes and Questions to Juice Up Your Journey for release 11:11:2020.  Raising Caterpillars: A Black Woman's Guide to Inspired Parenting is scheduled for release in Spring 2021.
